Gel polish remains one of the most requested nail services, and lasting results depend on proper prep, clean application, and correct curing.
The process starts before color ever touches the nail. If the nail plate is not prepared correctly, even a great gel system may not wear as expected.
- Remove shine gently from the natural nail with a buffer
- Clean up the cuticle and skin around the nail bed
- Apply Tones Nail Prep Solution (Dehydrator)
- Apply Tones Ultrabond Primer
- Apply Tones Base Coat & cure for 30-60 seconds
- Apply first layer of color Glass Gel Polish & cure for 30-60 seconds
- Apply Second layer of color Glass Gel Polish & cure for 30-60 seconds
- Apply Tones Top Coat & cure for 30-60 seconds
- Finish with cuticle oil or serum to nourish the skin and cuticle
Application should be thin, even, and controlled. Thick coats can cure unevenly, cause flooding around the cuticle and lifting.
Proper curing is also critical. Nail techs should always use a pro grade lamp and follow the product’s cure time. Seal the free edge for better wear
