Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Nails
- Gently push back the cuticles using the tools provided in the Tones Dry Manicure Kit.
- Use the Tones Nail Buffer 100/180 to lightly buff the nail surface and remove any shine.
- Wipe the nails with Tones Sanitizing Solution or alcohol to cleanse away oils and dust.
Step 2: Extend or Shape the Nail with Tips or Forms
- For Tones Nail Tips: Select a tip that fits the natural nail. Apply a small amount of Tones Brush-On Nail Glue, press the tip firmly for a few seconds, then trim and shape as desired.
- For Tones Nail Forms: Position the form under the free edge of the natural nail and adjust it to the desired shape.
Step 3: Apply Dehydrator and Primer
- Apply Tones Nail Prep Dehydrator to remove any remaining oils from the nail surface.
- Apply Tones Ultrabond Primer to enhance acrylic adhesion.
Step 4: Prepare the Acrylic
- Dip the Tones Acrylic Brush into Tones Acrylic Monomer.
- Lightly dip the brush into the acrylic powder to form a smooth bead.
Step 5: Apply Acrylic to the Nails
- For Tones Nail Tips: Start by applying the bead near the base of the nail, close to the cuticle. Work the product up and over the nail tip. Use the brush to flatten and smooth the acrylic across the entire nail, shaping it to your desired thickness. Repeat this step to build up the nail's strength and shape if needed.
- For Tones Nail Forms: Start by applying the bead onto the nail form where the free edge of the nail will be. Extend and shape the nail by working with the brush to your desired shape and length. Apply another bead of acrylic closer to the cuticle area and work it upwards blending it into the extended portion of the nail.
Step 6: Encapsulate the Glitter with Tones Glass Acrylic (Clear):
- Once the glitter is in place, dip your brush into the monomer and pick up a bead of glass acrylic powder.
- Apply the clear acrylic over the glitter ensuring full coverage.
- Path and smooth the clear acrylic to create a
smooth and even surface.
Step 7: Let the Acrylic Dry
- Allow the acrylic to dry completely. You’ll know it’s fully set when you tap it and hear a solid sound.
- If using a nail form, gently remove the form by pulling it away from the hardened acrylic.
Step 8: Shape and Refine
- Shape the nails using a Tones Nail File, refining the edges and contour as needed.
- Buff the nail surface to ensure smoothness, and clean away any remaining dust.
Step 9: Finish with a Top Coat
- Seal and enhance the shine by applying Tones Top Coat over the finished acrylic nails.
